Galv. Wire

Galvanized wire is produced in two types, cold and hot.

In the cold type, which is done by electrolysis, zinc metal is coated on the surface of the wire. In this method, the thickness of the coating is low and as a result it does not have much resistance to moisture.

The difference between hot and cold galvanized wire

Galvanized wire is produced in two types, cold and hot. In the cold type, which is done by electrolysis, zinc metal is coated on the surface of the wire. In this method, the thickness of the coating is low and as a result it does not have much resistance to moisture.

In hot-dip galvanizing, the steel is coated with zinc by floating in the molten zinc metal, and in this method, the zinc coating on the steel is more, and as a result, it has more resistance to moisture.

Iranian galvanized wire

Iranian galvanized wire is more durable against moisture and oxidation.

When the quality of wire production is higher, its resistance to moisture and rust increases. But the problem in the Iranian type is that the weight of the coils is slightly different from each other and there is also a tolerance or change in diameter in the wire diameter.

Chinese galvanized wire

Chinese galvanized wire is less resistant to rust and moisture than its Iranian type and oxidizes sooner.

On the other hand, it has advantages over the Iranian type, including:

Having no tolerances and changing the diameter in different parts of the wire coil, which is important in some applications.

The next advantage that can be mentioned is flexibility, which the Iranian type has less flexibility. The last advantage of this type of wire is that the coils are equal in weight.
